I have been reading and doing searches so please forgive if the questions are redundant.

I have been trying to figure different options for my BASEMENT studio.
Like most homers, budget is the biggest consideration.
I would like it to sound & look half way decent though.

To all who may be willing to answer, please correct any errors in my plans...

Ceiling and Walls;

I'm thinking of 2x3 studs, insulation and sheet rock.

After painting I want to treat them with 703 on the ceilings and walls
mounted to pegboard like in the following pics.

For corner traps, I'm considering pegboard with 703 behind it, will that work ok ?

ISO BOOTH;

I'm thinking the pegboard with 703 behind it on all walls and ceiling.
I'm hoping this will work as a defusing system.

Is this wrong thinking, should I just have soft walls, covered 703 instead ?

The ISO booths floor will be ½ inch soft black rubber tile from Costco.

Control & tracking room floor;

Ok, I know that the best stuff right know is that recycled rubber flooring.
Unfortunately, even that is to expensive for me.

Carpet is the cheapest, but I know I endanger the acoustics.
After discussing the problem with my guitarist, we are considering a
FAKE floated floor.

We would take thin strips of wood, 2 inch x ½ inch, secure them to the
basement floor, cover them with pergo's blue rubber insolation,
and then finished, stained & polyurethane PLYWOOD on top.

I would then like to use this is a drum platform I'm going to build
and place on top of a 10x6 of black rubber tile and cover it with black rubber tile.

I hope I'm not to far off with this plan.

ALL COMMENTS WELCOME.
