I wanna repost this tune from another thread cause it's so cool...

I got some more details...he used a Carvin bolt guitar with bridge humbucker....a SM-57 mic'd Crate dsp 80 watt guitar amp with the mic 1" from the center cone...for that amazing sounding bass he said he said he used a Carvin 5 string into the same Crate amp and came out of the direct output, and no other processing , not even compression he says. Killer bass sound! He said recorded this in Cakewalk Pro Audio using a EMU APS soundcard. Amazing. This should give hope to everybody that you can get great results with modest equipemnt. That lead guitar tone is about what I wanna get..almost makes me wanna find a Crate amp! hehe...if anyone has any sound examples with their POD that sound comparable to the great sound he got on this tune, tell me how you did it ! I can't get mine to get that sweet, fat ,focused, present sound. It's either thin and trebly or bassy and unfocused.
