it doesn't matter what monitors i use {have used berhinger,alesis,mackie}.I always have to do a mixdown and listen to the whole thing making notes as to what is wrong and then go back and make those changes.I have never had any monitors that I could just mix it and it was perfect.
 
I think the more you get to know your monitors, the closer you will come.....listen to alot of CD's that you are familiar with thru your monitors and really note how things sound on them.....and then use CD's in a similar style of what you are working on to use as a reference, switching back and forth as you try to dial in a sound......
 
Then probably the room acoustics and way you have the monitors placed are causing problems. Describe your studio (dimensions, etc.) and maybe we can help.
