Yeah, sometimes I just stare at them for long periods of time. I think I'll get some grillecloth.

I owned a Peavy Bass reflex cab with Black Widow 18".
The neg/pos wires to the speakers were not secured and 1 nite playing a live venue,the constant booming/thumping of the woofer caused the wires to produce sparks on the woofer's terminals,thus causing the spkr's cone to catch on fire! Here I am playing the bass and my woofer is on fire!! The crownd thought it was part of the show and went wild! I nearly cried!!!! Eventually a friend of mine grabbed a 40oz of malt liquor and doused the fire!! I still have the cab but with a new woofer with the speaker connections now held in place with solder!!

Flaming woofers, that's better than smashing a guitar anytime.
Handy tip for the day:
Wanna magnetize your screwdriver so you can pick up out of the way screws and such? If you have a big speaker with good sized magnets (there's two) rub it across one a few times and, voila!, magnetized screwdriver. Want it back to normal? Rub it on the other magnet.
