Monitors On Sides

Jim, you are right about the practicality. I was thinking practical in the sense of they take up less space. I agree that KRK has designed the Kroks and older Rokits to be used in the vertical position. This however is just two cheap models and not an argument for never truning monitors on their sides, which is what i wanted to point out to the poeple that say that you should not lay a monitor on its side.

I know that my Dynaudio's sound great both vertically and horizontally. They sound a little different each way, but great both ways. Every so often I switch them because my own preference changes.

thnx for the info jim and the link was good if not really on point.... it really does get ya thinking about what other hidden effects are out there... i still find it curious that people still refuse the data given them.... and why i still like tannoys (remember big reds) or even the urie's also explains why bigger soffit mounted types (big dyn audios/westlakes etc.) go with mutiple woofers with inside mounted tweets/mids
