monitors blown?

hey first post here anyways i got a quick question. my studio monitors like play and everything but i am hearing like pops and clicks and stuff are these blown or? i don't have any other speakers to test with i just got a brand new sound card and it's the same thing it started. any help?

oh yea i checked all the connections and everything its fine... it just started one day and hasn't gone away.///

You're really going to need another "control device" to find out.

You could hook the speakers up to something else (stereo system perhaps?) and see if they pop.

And of course, check every setting you can find on your soundcard - Mute everything you can except for what you need at any given time.

Also, if you're running a digital signal (such as a S/PDIF) you might just have a bad cable.
