Hm well thats interesting.
I will bring you info about the amp but i already know its a 830Euros worth amp.
I was testing BM6A vs BM6 + the amp.The test was done on Audioslave - Out of Exile CD.
The active model sounded much more linear. The seller told me its normal and the store was "pro" like.
The thing is if you want to beat BM6A with BM6 youd probably need really expensive amp not to mention the cables which are unimportant while using active monitors.
Im buying monitors for CD playback so i didnt test them on some mix or something similar.

Cables certainly do matter though. The problem with passive I guess is that you need two good sets of cables and not just one. As apoint of reference though, you can get a new set of BM6's and a used Bryston amp for less than than the cost of new BM6a's. Dynaudio does make pretty decent amps though. I just wanted to put my 2 cents in here for other readers so they don't think the passive Dynaudio stuff isn't worth the buy. It most certainly is. In the end though, all that really matters for your purchase is what YOU thought of the difference. If you like the active ones better, that is fine. You are the one that will be listening to them. Me personally, I like the passives better, as do many other people.
