5 dollar loud blunts
This definitely isn't my first rodeo, but usually I've tracked and mixed all the instruments myself until lately. I recently did an audition for a band that lost their vocalist, during which I had to try getting my vocal tracks to fit into their instrumental.
This is mostly just about the mix as a whole, as I find myself more and more having to get my vocals into a semi-finished instrumental mix (once again, not what I'm used to). I'm sure quite a few of you have more mixing experience with instrumentals/vocal overdubbing than I, so please do share the knowledge and let me get some constructive criticism.
- and if you're wondering, this isn't a ploy to get more views. I couldn't get the file itself to upload so I put this link instead
- Given my take, what could I have done to better the mix as it is and to get the vocals to sit better within it?
- Do they sit fairly well to you from your listening position?
