I do hip hop and sometimes have MCs collaborate on a track from different mics. I'm finding it increasingly hard to settle with my mixes on tracks with other MCs/different mics as I continue to hone my mixing methods. Any tips on finding the right EQ? I can usually settle on the db for each track, but the EQ tends to trouble me the most. Any tips are appreciated. I use Adobe Audition.

Are they different takes with different mics or different voices with different mics ?

If different voices, who cares ? Treat them as separate instruments. You dont need to blend them.

Difference is the spice of life.

First you have to diagnose the problem then implement changes. Listen to the tracks, what isnt working? to boxy, to much presence, no body. You cant fix anything before you know what the problem is. Their is no "right" eq. Any eq you are using can get the job done.(Some might have different character and tone)
