I’m trying to record/monitor my band using aBehringer 2004A mixer, Delta 66/OmniStudio, n-Track software. We’re new to this but slowly making progress. Here’s my problem: when overdubbing I can’t seem to easily adjust the playback level to the mic input level so that the vocalist can hear everything well (thru headphones). I’m guessing it’s a routing problem since we don’t know what the hell we’re doing 
What we ARE doing is running the channel inserts from the Behringer into the 4 available inputs on the Delta/Omni. Running ‘Monitor Outs’ from the Delta back into one of the stereo channels on the Behringer. The Behringer has an ‘Alt3/4 Output switch available for each channel so, my thought was that I could engage that switch for the new channel being recorded (and control the level with the Alt3/4 faders), while controlling playback with the Main Mix faders. It seems that the Main Mix fader is in fact controlling both the playback and the new channel/mic input. That ain’t workin’. I know I’m probably not explaining this correctly but if anybody has a suggestion, I’d appreciate it.
