hey guys, im pretty new to recording me and a buddy are going half with equipment and we plan on doing some pretty good recordings, we plan on using cubase, since my friend already knows it.
we are kind of confused about what kind of mixer to buy, there is no Mackie board that has 8digital outs (we need these for drums) although theres the onyx board but its $800+firewire card($400)......We are deceiding whether to get a Allen And Heath Mixwizard 16:2 Board...but im not sure how good the preamps are since someone said they werent too good, although its an 800$ board.
otherwise how would one of the Maudio preamps do..like the Octane 8 channels http://www.maudio.co.uk/products/en_gb/Octane-main.html
