New Alesis MultiMix 4 USB 4 Channel USB DJ Pro Mixer | eBay

i'm using for home recording, with my computer,so i just need one that has phantom power so can plug my mic into, then plug the mixer into my computer.

any help would be appreciated.

I hate people who answer a question with a question, but...

Why do you want a mixer?

For your budget you can get some excellent USB interfaces--or some very mediocre mixers with USB outputs. In the sub-$200 price range you're likely stuck with Alesis or Behringer, neither of which will sound great. The other option would be a better mixer second hand...for example, if you can get a good used Allen & Heath Zed series, that would sound fine.

...or, go with an interface (and we can recommend lots in your budget) and forget the mixer.

hmm is that what i did..? all i was trying to do was give us much info as possible and maybe get some help from someone with a bit of experience.
Well i guess doesnt have to be a mixer, just an interface that the mic i showed can be plugged into and the interface to computer.
ok thanks for your help..

could you recommend some of these interfaces, would be much appreciated.

Nah, it was me who answered your sensible question by asking why you want a mixer!

If you just need a single microphone, THIS ONE would do the job for you well within budget. I provides phantom power for your condenser mic and the pre-amp sounds fine.

If you think you might want two mics at some point (the ability to use a stereo pair can be useful) the same manufacturer makes models called the Mobile Pre or the Fast Track Pro, both of which I can vouch for.

However, there are lots of other good units at a similar price point--I'm sure others will be along soon to recommend them!

But it was the right question answer......... why do you want a mixer? If you have a computer, you don't need a mixer. Get an interface to get your signals into the computer, then do everything on screen. I had a 24 channel mixer and a 7 foot rack, and the computer made all of that obsolete. You dont need a mixer unless you are going to use it for playing live with a band.

Thanks for the help, that M-Audio interface was one i was looking at getting to begin with so is good youd recommend it.
