Mixer / hard Disk / computer I think I figured it out

"if" I have one of these http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GL3300M840D/ or something like it. Then take the direct outs to this http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail.php?itemid=HD24&dcontent=media#anchor then feed that to this
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HDSP9652/

So I record w/ the hard disk and use the computer with something like nuendo to edit and use external effects/processors from the mixer to the disk to computer. Am I getting this right?

Is it working when you hook it up and use it? If so, you've probably got it done right.

I dont know. Hence my post starting as "if"
Theirs no way I'd spend that much money hoping it would work.

If that's the route you want to go why don't you just get yourself a digital mixer? A Tascam TD24 is quite decent and not too pricey.

That Tascam TD24 looks pretty niffty. I could go digital but theirs just something about have a nice console in front of ya. I havent seen maybe digital mixers with 24+ mic pre's either. Not like I need 60 mic pres but I'd suck if I ran out of xlr plugs when recording!

That looks like an ATA connection in on it, So I need a Raid 0 or ata controller right?
