the minute i leave work(about an hour from now)i am going to a local stereo store and purchase a philips 770 CDR,they said it has been discontinued,so they will sellk me the floor model for $228,my friend says talk 'em down to $200$(show 'em cash)i basically want this to mix all my songs i have just recorded on my boss br-8. i was planning on going straight digital optical spdif connect, the sound from the br-8 is amazing ,and i don't want to lose any quality, the only way i can think of going straight to the source of the sound, and bring it right to a playable cd.i don't own a computer(in fact i have this long run-on sentence in the computer recording forum)so this is the only, and quickest way i can think of.after i am finished i will be able to give the cd to my brother (he's the computer genius)and he can traNSFER THIS TO AN MP-3 FILE THEN UPLOAD IT STRAIGHT TO MY WEB PAGE.(oops i hit caps lock)there are already two rough mixes that i did in which my sister took the br-8 tracks ,put them on her cakewalk (just on one track of hers)and e-mailed it to my brother as a wav file and he did the same as put it on our web site(allcet.com)and as complicated ,or annoying this sounds,it all sounds really good,so now, back to the first thing i was talking about.does anyone have any suggestions about the initial mixdown to the burner?or has anyone tried it,or reached any complications?or am i about to waste $200(mind you,no computer til next year,i want to start getting these recordings out there)does this work?
