I'm trying to mix down from 8 trac mini disc to the stereo line in own my computer, using the windows sound recorder. The problem is i can only record 60 seconds before it stops. How do i change the recording length and what format should i be recording to. I have set the quailty to 44.1 16 bit.
Anyone ?

why in GODS NAME are you using the Windows sound recorder?

Well, for one reason, i'm dumb! The other reason is that i don't know another way to record a wav file on this computer. What should i be using ?

Stan,

The 60 seconds thing is a limitation of Sound Recorder. The cheapest way that you can do what you want to do, is to download the free version of Pro Tools. You can record to your heart's content that way. I don't personally like it, but it is free.

By the way, you wouldn't happed to be the same Stan Williams who used to teach guitar in the Tacoma area, would you?
