I was going to put it on a private server but had issues.

Still more work to do but this is it for now. Killer tune. Very much enjoying mixing on it. Great job tracking it!

Is everyone cool with having their final mixes up by Monday Dec. 4th...

I figured monday would be good cause it'll give the weekend to do any final tweeks...

What format do you want the final mixes in mp3 or wav?

I'm heading out of town till Sunday but I do have a few tweaks for my last one. It seems to have lost the kick. :confused:
 
Well as far as the format goes, I'd say a minimum of a 192bit MP3 would be cool...the higher the better, but I think WAV is unnecessary just cause of the bandwidth involved....
 
Perdicament, Could you tell me the bpm or tempo that this song was recorded in?
You said you played to a click track so I'm hoping you can let me know. Would make a couple things I'm thinking of easier and I'm too lazy to figure it out my self;)

Perdicament did tell us one day. He said...

"...the BPM is 81 which works out to I think something like 375ms...that'll getcha in the ballpark for dealys and time based effects if ya wanna use em..."

Thanks RawDepth, Looking more at poss a couple small edits that would be way easier with snap to grid on and the tempo set.

I know I'm probly the last fool out there that doesn't set the delay up based on tempo:) I just mess around till it sounds good to me, if it sounds good to others I have no idea;)

Sounds pretty good vanbas2. I have a new one coming soon. Had to tame the low end some and even it out a bit;) Did the major tool mix as a throw it up thing last time. Some outside sources handled it, others not so much :D :D

Better late to the better than never eh? I will try to get cracking on this in the next couple of days since the deadline is on the 4th. ( I work better with a deadline).

OK i'm gonna do a better, non-crappy mix and try it out in Reaper over the weekend. will be my first Reaper project, hopefully it'll come out pretty good.

This mix should only be listened to at extremely high volumes;)
Tried to mix it to the vibe I caught from the song. It's as chuncky as I thought I could get away with on a decent consumer stereo with the loudness button off :D :eek: We'll see if I kept enough controll on the low end.

Will be waiting to hear everyones mixes. should be fun. Was more of a challanging song to mix than I thought it would be.. The word epic comes to mind.

Sounds good.
The snare seems to be to the left though. I prefer snare bang in the middle with a stereo reverb.
The bass is hiding the slap of the kick drum, I would add more at 5-6K.
The mix as a whole sounds a little muddy in the lo mids, I think its the guitars or maybe the bass also.
Good mix though.
