All of a sudden whenever I start a new session, pro tools isn't making an 'Audio files' folder in the session folder. I went through all the preferences and didn't find anything. Any ideas?
Where is it putting the audio files you record? Right in the root session folder? PT doesn't make a permanent audio files folder until you actually record audio.
I found the problem. It was a preference under the 'Disk Allocation' settings. And Pro Tools does automatically create an 'Audio Files' folder whenever I start a session
It will make an Audio Files folder, then if you don't record or import any audio, it will delete it. Although this setting has changed over time with various PT versions. Good catch on Disk Allocation. I've seen lots of sessions get lost by people misallocating their audio files.
