minor issue

One day my speaker suddenly sounded weak, so I went to sounds and audio devices and figured out that the bass notes came when I panned to the far left, and treble to the far right, but barley anything in the middle.

At the moment its set to 2/2.1, and the speaker is a bose docking station if that helps (http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/sounddock_systems/sounddock/index.jsp)
