mighty mite necks?

are mighty mite necks any good?

I'm pretty sure they're licensed by Fender, so they at least have to be to Fender spec. I havent used one, though. I DO have a couple Mighty Mite pickguards that I like alot!

what do you think Fender spec means? at least as good as a squier? are they one size fits all or do I have to get a specific size to match my geetar.

According to my most recent information, they're made by Cor-Tek in Korea. Cor-Tek makes the (often excellent) Korean Fenders. These necks are used on the "Light Ash" series Fenders.

Service from Mighty Mite in the US is supposedly excellent.

I have no direct experience with these necks myself.

I think squire necks are fine. The neck is the best thing on a squire guitar.

The are not as highly finished as the fender american necks, but the potential is there.

Not to bash fender or anything, I love my American Strat, but my squier neck is horrible. the high E string gets caught on the side of the frets sometimes.

Kalamazoo?

I've got an original Mighty Mite Strat - bought it new over 25 years ago. I'm pretty sure it was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The neck on this thing is pretty thick, actually feels like a baseball bat, but the actual fretboard is real nice, especially for soloing. I've seen other Strat's modified with Mighty necks and none were this beefy.

However, if the neck you are considering is anything like the quality of the one I have, I'd say go for it! It's been abused and/or neglected for 25 years and it still plays great.
