So I have this MIDIVERBII, probably dates back to like 1987 or so. It is in EXCELLENT condition, I cannot see any signs of use. However, when I plug in the power adapter, with the input and output controls set down, the signal present and signal overload LED's stay on constantly. I cannot get any sound to come out the other side no matter what combination. Any ideas? Suggestions?

An M-80!

I had the same unit that did the same thing and I never got it to work. I smacked it a coupke of times with a hammer but I don't think it helped! :D

Having repaired these units since they came out. The problem is probably an IC in the unit called a 74AC157. There are three of them on the circuit board and one has gone faulty.
Hope this helps.

So what you're saying is that the hammer wasn't the best way to fix it? :D
