i play drums, guitar and bass and record works using these elements and even do some piano-so i'm all about the real deal.
i got into midi first using "finale" which is just a sheet music tablet so it wasn't hard to go from sheet music on paper to digital. I than started to take my projects from finale to reason and would dress them up, but all the while i was treating midi as its own thing-i was using midi for its midi qualities.
when i use midi its different objectives in mind.
and mixing the two is a balancing act in itself.
