MIDI Setups

Alright, right now I have a MIDI Controller keyboard hooked right into a MIDI interface built right into my computer. How would I hook everything up if I wated to add a mixer that would contol all 16 MIDI channels. I would still be using my computer as the sequencer but I was also wondering if that setup would require a sound module. If someone knows how to set this up or has a similar setup could you PLEASE help me!!

More info, please. Are you just using a soundblaster card?

To use a mixer, you would have to get a synth/module with 16 outputs to control 16 channels with a mixer like you say. Dont even think anyone makes one with 16 outputs.

A program like Cakewalk has a virtual mixer to control volume, pan, etc. I think thats all you want, a mixer I dont think is your answer.
Explain what you are trying to do.
