This is a NEWBIE questin so bare with me.......

What is the simples/cheapest way to send 1-3 midi sync signals to 8-10 pieces of gear?

I am planning an electronic "jam session" and need to be able to sync (start, tempo, stop) a lot of Roland gear that have no THRUs.

Thankyou for your time.

*DUMBASS* I figured it out....all I needed was a multi-thru box deelio. Yamaha YME8

Yay eBay! AND free shipping!

Just FYI, vintage roland gear is notorious for really bad clocks when syncing to midi (707 and 727 are probably the worst, they loose a beat every 30 seconds until it gets to the tennis shoes in a dryer level) so if you have stuff that dinsyncs, use that and get a dinsync/midi convertor. It will be much better. Anything made in the last 15 years should be ok though.

There are also alot of cheap midi splitters available (Ensoniq KMX-8 is a good one) which are 8x8 so you dont have to "thru" anything.

I ended up buying a used Yamaha YME8 on the cheap. I'll see tonight how well it works....I really onnly need two more thrus, but now I shouyld be set for a while.

ps. altitude909: All my Roland gear is within that 15year time frame and have yet to cause any loss of sync issues....thanx for the heads-up though.
