Insane Genious!
DACS makes a MIDI patch bay. Brilliant stuff, it seems, and not too expensive either.... until you realize it HAS to be mounted in a 19" rack, cause it has no casing, and hence cant be used as is.
The means I need to buy a 19" rack too, which doubles the price, basically. Hmm...

Does anybody else make MIDI patch bays like this?

I'm looking for one too, although I DO want a rack mount unit....

Shipping the DACS to Canada means some big bucks though... I can't beleive there isn't a North American manufacturer that makes a striaght-forward Midi PatchBay!

Anyone know who makes such gear??

Search Ebay for something like 'midi patchbay'...

I picked up a Yamaha MJC8 for $40 or something. Old midi patchbays are the way to go... they're solid and do what you need them to do... route midi. They all have slightly different feature sets, so make sure you investigate before buying.
