Midi OX question

I just downloaded MIdi-OX 6.5. I have been trying to figure out how to use the manuel dump command to play my keyboard from sound forge 6.0 on the MIDI OX so I can reroute sound and record in on Sonar XL but I just cant seem to get the sound from the keyboard to be recognized when played. I would appreaciate any help on the subject.

Also Im thinking about getting Cakewalk Project5 for the insturment syntheziers it posses. Is there any other programs out there(free or otherwise) that do a good job of emulating instruments and making beats like the project5?

As far as I know Soundforge only does audio not midi. If you want to record your keyboard into SF you need to hook up the audio outputs on the synth to the audio inputs on your sound card.

MIDI is for controlling synths but it is not audio.
