Hey guys!

I'm looking to get a new MIDI Keyboard for drum programming and creating some synth sounds for some of my tracks. I have done a little research and SoundOnSound magazine recommend the Behringer UMA25S USB MIDI Keyboard. Does anyone here have it or used it before?

Thanks.

That keyboard sells for around $100-$125. Those controller keyboards --- especially the 25 key variety --- are so thick on the ground that in one trip to eBay you'll find a bunch of them for that much or less. Those are a safe buy on the used market because either they work or they don't. Just for an example, I paid $125 for the older model of http://http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Axiom25New.html this. The reason that I like it is that it has drum pads where the Behringer you refrenced has none.

this might be more than you want to spend. but i had good experience before with the Novation Impulse series. i have the 61 key model. i know there is a 25 key model for 250. behringer stuff is really hit or miss. some of it is great, some of it falls apart. that being said i have a behringer fcb1010 foot controller and it has held up really well.
what daw are you using?
