Hello. Ima pullin my hair out here. I have a Roland vs-840. I have cakewalk home studio 9. I have a Soundblaster Audigy sound card. I plug my gear into the vs-840 and use it as a mixer. I output to my soundcard to record on cakewalk. I would like to hit Record on cakewalk and, via midi, have my roland also start recording. My problem is the Roland manual says, for MMC, "make sure the device ID is 17, but cakewalk doesn`t have a selection for device ID. Actually I dont know if thats the problem. I have tried a gazillion different settings on both recorders, setting "A" as master, "B" as slave, vice verse and whatever other options i can change to no avail. I know I did this a couple years ago and it worked. At the time i was using a cheezy souncard that came with my computer. If anyone can help me out with this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
