midi controller keyboard and cubase

basically i just got a midi keyboard, and was wondering whether or not its possible to record with it using reason?

i basically rewire reason with cubase, and can record the beats from reason, but cant seem to manage to get the keyboard to playback. i can hear it when im platying, but cant hear the recorded signal.

is this possible, or do i need a sound module to record with the keyboard?

You must be rewiring wrong or set it wrong. Well I know only little about rewire. By why dont you use Reason sequencer menu why Cubase?
