If anyone has any clue on this, please help.
I have an SB Live soundcard and Roland Alpha Juno 2 synth. I've connected my synth to the gameport on the soundcard using the cable with two midi connectors (midi in/out) and 15 din connector. Midi in goes to midi out and vice versa. In the audio HQ I've selected midi uart for midi in (that's the only choice) and Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth for midi playback. Only in that case I can hear midi files when played. In other case (A:SB live midi synth, B:SB live midi synth etc.) I can't, but I guess if I can hear the midi sounds the setup is correct.
The problem is that I can't make my keyboard to control midi. The driver seems to be OK and needs no update.
Operating system is Windows XP. Configuration is:
AMD Athlon XP1600+
MSI KT3 Ultra-C VIA KT333 SocA ATA133 w/snd ATX (soundcard VIA AC'97 on board)
256MB DDR PC266
MSI MS-8863 GF4, CD-R/RW, DVD ROM, Jazz 9902 Speaker System Dolby 5.1, TV Tuner card etc. (if that matters).
All devices are working properly (SB live gameport as well).
When I select the keyboard from Audio HQ I can hear the sounds if I press the keys on it.
I have warious programs like Reason and Cubase and used the same setup (midi in is midi UART). I can also hear the sound thru my speakers, but I can't control midi with my keyboard. What am I doing wrong? Please if anyone has any suggestions it would be highly appreciated.
