Admittedly, the Studio Traps aren't cheap if you buy them new, but nothing else comes close to doing what they do, which is why big name guys like Swedien use them constantly. Frankly, with some homerec folk spending big bucks on mikes, preamps, compressors, gates and other gear, this is really the overlooked secret weapon in overcoming the biggest gap between home and pro studio: the quality of the acoustic environment around the mike.

I recently made a large homemade version of the mic thingy. It basicly consists of three 4 by 2 panel on hinges stuffed with fiberglass. I had the most material so it cost hardly a thing and it made a BIG difference in my recordings. I hope to post with/without recordings sometime in the future.
