Poor old Metalica. I saw the doco recently. I did think Spinal Tap. Poor old Hetfield he is so narcissstic. Lots of people are really, but they probably cover it a bit better. Poor old bear, who shoots bears and puts it out on a DVD? Metal heads might like that kind of thing. It could be a homage to the really funny mockumentary "The Making of...And God Spoke" where the editor tells us that he is only ever himslef when he hears the thud and dull drop of a bear to the ground, after he has shot it with a high powered bow and arrow.

It was all pretty sad

holy crap that was amazing, i like how they even used a SM57 on the chair snare just like you're supposed to. i haven't listened to st anger in forever but i do remember the snare sounding pretty similar to that, haha. and of course the superb timing on the drums must be a tribute to lars. great thread.
