What's up guys?
I have been recording myself at home on my own set up for close to two years now. I have a Rode NT1A mic running into a Fast Track C400 interface. I have never had any issues with getting good clean vocal recording. However last night I went to record some vocals and my mic is picking up insane amounts of static, no matter how much I alter the gain, turn the phantom power on/off....doesn't matter - static.
Do you think it's just time to go ahead and replace the mic cord itself? ANY feedback is greatly appreciated.
