micing accordion, fiddle, vocals

What single stage mic would be best for acoustic fiddle/vocal? How about acoustic accordion/vocal? Please include price considerations as well as performance in your responses. Thanks
 
I've been to a couple of dances with live bands playing guitar, fiddle, dulcimer and whatnot.. the Sennheiser MD421 MKII U4 seems to be very popular. And it sounds great even if you have cheap speakers, so it seems. LOL. :)
