just remembered!
i saw him play at a music store once (owwwwww, my career hurts)
he was technically amazing, but the music was all un-inspired, un-original, and un-listenable.

if you own a record that you only brake out to show people that have never heard it how good the person in question is, that my friend is math, not music.

If I had hair like that guy I'd be looking like satriani in minutes.

When I first saw the guy on the dean website I thought it looked (hadn't listened yet) pretty cool because you could play a rhythm part on one and a lead part on the other, and harmonize with yourself. Then I listened to it and got turned off from shred forever. I had just started listening to Vai, until I heard that joke play guitar and I thought maybe I shouldnt practice too much.

I still like some Satriani songs, his slower ones, but most shred just reminds me of Michael Angelo.

looking at his "famous people" pics made me think, "hey, Zakk Wylde and Jerry Cantrell should make a band!"
