Mic Stand

I have a camera tripod with a standard 1/4" thread. To connect my blue yeti with thread size 5/8". I think this http://www.amazon.co.uk/SMALLRIG-Co...TF8&qid=1415206500&sr=1-1&keywords=1/4+to+5/8 looks OK, but it is to 3/8" instead of 5/8". Can anyone find something that would meet my needs? Thanks.

In a worst case scenario, I could double up adapters, right? 1/4" to 3/8" then 3/8" to 5/8"? Would this be possible? I would prefer one that did it all, though!

For the price of the adapters you can buy a cheap mic stand .... just saying ...

Buy a mic stand. A camera tripod is going to be a real PITA to work around the legs.

You want to record? Get the tools for the job.

One of those ^ is very useful to the home recording bod. They go high enough to grab acoustic guitar and cabs and even vocals if you are seated (tho' the "teachers" would tell us off for singing on our asses!)

Much easier to get around in a cramped bedroom.

I have I desktop mic stand. I use it for just that and it reaches high enough to record vocals standing. Its the only stand in my college dorm and it works fine for the purpose.
