Mic placement for studio 100watt guitar amp

I used to own a 50Watt JCM2000 DSL50, it was pretty loud, loud enough for gigs in bars, and also for larger venues when miced up through the PA.

I've heard of a few amps that go down to .1 watt. I've seen one personally.

That little Behringer V-5 does that.

I had one for a little while.
