Mic holder threads getting stuck!

I have an odd question:

Does anyone have an ingenious method for removing the 3/8" to 5/8" thread adapters that have a tendency to get stuck inside my mic holders?

I cannot find a screwdriver wide enough.

Pliers and a tight grip should do it. If not, carfully spray some WD-40 into the threads and let it "soak" for a minute of two. Then try to break it free. If that doesn't do it, I don't know what will!

If you can't get pliers on it, put the screwdriver on one side of the slot and give the screwdriver a little whack with a hammer.

After you get it out, use some Loctite to mate it to your stand permanently :)

Excellent, thanks.

Glue them?! Why didn't i think of that. They only cost a quid so as long as you've a few spares that aren't glued you'd be ok.

So, I'll get some pliers, WD40 and superglue on the way home and hopefully get a 5p in change!

If you're in the states, use a dime ($0.10 coin) and a pair of pliers. Works every time. ;)
