Mic. error when sound muted?

Hello. How come my mic. does not work when the sound is muted?

There is a mic. and sound mute button and I only mute the sound but the mic. does not work after even though it does NOT show muted.

The mute sound button is muting the sound and microphone both for some reason.

Pretty sure this is a bug on the apps. I hope to get help. Thank you!

What "app" what mic, what interface? "Mute" usually kills everything in a monitor chain. What exactly are you trying to do?

I'd think it strange if pressing mute sound did NOT mute the mic, as that wouldn't be helpful at all would it?

isn't there supposed to be no sound when it's muted? if so its working correctly.

what app is it? what OS? what device are you using? we need more info.
