Yeah, but the click has two tones. Every other click it's quiet and loud. I wish they made a simple monotone constant volume click. Oh well. If it's the best I'll get I'll just work with it. It's better than what I used to do.

I have a slightly different tact I take for click tracks in Sonor.I have a few different audio click loops (different sounds and emphasis) that I created in sonor that I simply
import into each song and use as needed. that way it never gets in the way of my (very simple) midi set up and I can just mute it when I don't want to use it. I can also use it to visually line up other tracks when I am editing. Just my 2 cents.

Brian,
the session drummer is a very useful tool if you learn to use it to its fullest potential.
You can create your own click track by either step entry or loop recording midi.The notes can be quantized and the velocity set through midi effects.
Then you can import this pattern into the session drummer to create your own style,this is all in your manual.
I download midi patterns from the internet and load those into the drummer.
I download whole midi files free and open them in sonar then I drag the drum track into another song file at which point it can be cut up into patterns.
I like midi better than loops because I find it to be more "liquid".
This may sound like a bit of a hassle but I'm rhytmically challenged
and maybe I'm old fashioned but when I use loops it just does'nt feel like I'm making the music.
Now as far as the previous post I think thats a good idea too I agree about the visual aspect.

Layla has a MIDI interface, but it has no MIDI synth chip to play sounds in response to MIDI messages.
If your keyboard has sounds (that is, it's not just a MIDI controller-only keyboard), why not use that as the source of the click?
Metronomes are supposed to make a louder click in alteration with less-loud clicks, to stress the one. That way you can't get too lost if you get distracted for a moment. An always-the-same-loudness click would not make a very useful metronome at all.

Where'd you get that idea? I've been using an always-the-same-loudness click track for about 5 years and I never get lost. When I'm drumming I keep track of where I am in the song by listening to the scratch track of guitars. Sorry to burst your bubble.
I'll look into what I can do about making my own styles, that will help quite a bit.
From where have any of you downloaded midi files/drum styles?

Enter midi files into your search engine...you will be over whelmed.
Open the file and drag it into a new midi only file it will automatically open to the default settings...pretty damn cool if you want to learn that song.
Go into the piano roll view and use the scrub tool and go nuts!

What bubble? If you find a click track with no accent useful, go for it!
