Metal Track, How does this compare to other modern sounding metal?

I'd match it up to stivens post that's near the top of the clinic right now. I listen to a bit of this stuff and I'd have to say he's really close to that sound, with a little less kick. He's got a clarity to the whole thing that's not as apparent in this mix. It's mostly the guitar tones I think. They also sound a bit washed out in the back some. Bring the two tracks up and switch back and forth between them and notice the differences that jump out at you.
 
I hear what you mean, his tones are a little brighter. I'll look into making a few changes. Thanks.
 
Just one guy's opinion, but I liked the tones you have. I'm not a metal guy. I thought this was a good rock tone.

Drums are wide. Especially the toms.

Too much reverb on everything.

Maybe turn up the bass a little bit?
 
Thanks triple M. I put reverb on the master fader, something I never do but I wanted to try, its a very small amount of reverb but I may dial it back even a bit more. I'll nudge the bass up just a bit and see how that sounds. Thanks for the suggestions.
