LMAO For sure dude. I love the melodic death metal style riffs. Reminds me of Swedish death metal in the vein of the haunted. The only thing I could criticize would be the clean guitars in the beginning sound like they could use some EQ. Other than that KICK ASS arrangement!

Im not really sure which clean guitars your are talking about in the beginning? The only thing i would consider as clean would be the break at 1:50. Thanks for the listen and comments.
 
Hey wire,

If you don't mind I would love to know what methodology you used to record "A will only Death could Break" I am interested in your approach to mic choice and placement. Sounts Great. Every day I get a little better, but then I hear something on here that proves I still have a long way to go. Anyway, some of the methods to your madness would be interesting and educational reading. ;)
 
Sounds good man. Much more "in your face" than some of your other mixes. That 635a is cool on guitar cab. I have another awesome mic for you to look for next time you get a little extra dough. If you get a good chance on a Beyerdynamic m-88, it is the balls on gainy sounding guitar. I recently used it on a Marshall JCM 2000-esl and it was the ticket. Very nu-metal sounding indeed.

You are getting great sounds now as it is, so you really don't need it, but if you want a different flavor down the road, you can borrow mine and see if you like it.

Hunter is a fucking amazing drummer.

Beez-thanks for the listen man. Ive really been working on trying to get my mixes more up close and personal, im not getting much practice these days working by myself though. Im doing loads of writing I just don't really have anyone to actually put it together with and make it worth recording.
I believe I may have borrowed the m88 from you a while back (possibly for floor tom?) but I may not have ever actually used it since i borrowed a few other mics all at the same time. I may take you up on the offer just to see what i may be missing if you don't mind. We'll discuss that through email though.
