A band I play bass in is releasing a demo... just something we cooked up on rehealsalplace-basis...

I can't figure out for the death of me how we managed to make so much fuckups on those tracks we're actually better players than this, but done is done and all and all I think this just needs to be finally sent out.

..seems something wrong with them pics there...

mix is the best we could manage from a 4-track recorder.

...up to our name?..

..how is songmanship?

Enjoy.

The intro is promising, but the guitars are just too intense, and the drums are suffering. Also you've squashed the mix to all bejesus, which isn't helping the drums punch though

Songs are pretty cool...I agree that they seem to be a bit compressed, but have heard much worse. It would probably be better if you can bring some dynamics back into the mixes, so the drums come through better, and the guitars have more bite.

But for this genre, it still sounds pretty heavy. I liked all the tunes.

Thanks for the input!

ahhhh.. what can I say here.

The guitarist/vocalist is a bit of a tyrant at this project. :D

He wasn't happy enough of the drums.. small timing problems with playing to a click.. So he made his best to bury the drums in the mix with layered guitartracks. :D ..I also think the gitlayers are the culprit of heavy compression.

:o That's what you get when a bandmember does the final mixing :o

..but imho, songs are decent. And we are just waiting for a gig to kick the shit out of local hippiebands!.. :D
