Hi
I have a mesa-boogie f-50 and have a slight 'problem' with it. Switching from the clean to the drive channel results in such a huge leap in volume that I can never turn the volume on drive channel above 1. I'd really like to see how the amp sounds when cranked, but you can't get near it if it's above 2. A friend has suggested getting a resistor put into the amp to turn the volume of the drive channel down so that it matches that of the clean channel. Does anyone know if this is possible? Do I need to take it to a qualified Mesa service centre to get that done?
Oh yeah, here's another question - the back of the amp says it's set to run on 230w (1 amp fuse) I live in New Zealand, where the power runs at 240w- but I'm about to move to the UK (which is 250w) - do I need to get anything adjusted in the amp to allow for the change in power in the UK?
Any help greatly appreciated - cheers!
