I need better friends.

I must be living right or something. A few years ago another friend parked most of his Sony condenser collection and a U-87 here so they would get some regular use.

i guess my opinion would have to also rely on what you are using them for...but more than likely...you've got a bit of redundancy going here on some not so terrific mics...

in the 100 dollar range...there's a few good dynamics you need to have instead of not so good condensers

well...if they're just for vocals...your best bet would be to sell them and get one good cardiod condensor that works well on your voice...

or even better for rap, not a condensor at all....sm7b...but you need a decently powerful preamp to push that

Sure, check back later. I'll post some pics of it. It is interesting. It's 1/4" Hi Z to go to an amp, just like the old harp mics. It's also got an on/off toggle switch that fits right between your fingers to kill the signal real quick.

I haven't recorded anything with it yet, much less vocals, but that is how I "soundchecked" it--just plugged it in and talked & yelled into it--very midrangey and almost overdriven sounding.

Dude--I only paid $25 USD for it! For me it's not about the money, it's about collecting 'em--that's why I've kept all my old cheapies too. So what I'm saying is...it's not for sale. But I'll see if I can find the guy who made it and you can ask him to make one for you--sound good?
