Very cool rimmic--but I now feel a little less special. When folks come in to my studio and look at all the cool toys, they often check out the salt shaker mic. Now I can't say, "I don't know anyone else who's got one!" Instead, I have to say "I don't know anyone else in North America who's got one," and then hope they don't go to Spain! :)

...On the other hand, i´ll always tell the story of the nice guy from the US that told me where to get this mic. :)

OK, confession time. Here's my collection *before* HR bbs (just a couple of years ago) -- one Shure Unisphere B that I picked up for $10 in the late 80's and used from time to time. I was perfectly happy with it:

And here it is *after* HR bbs (before the next GB comes in, that is):

jeez - I'm too lazy to list them. A few didn't make the picture, but all the different types are represented.

antichef--

I love the before and after progression. When you said earlier that you were gonna do this, I could relate, because my count has gone way up thanks to this place too.

But you had one! And now look at the collection! That's too funny. :D

Bassists have it easy... a DI box and one mic, maybe.

Drummers are screwed:

Click the image to jump to Flickr, to see model names and numbers (and a gratuitous C1000S insult).

That picture was taken just a couple months ago. I've since added a pair of N/D468s and a pair of CAD M179s, and I have 3 ribbons and 2 LDCs en route from China (via the TnC group buy).

BTW, the C1000S pair is for sale. :)
