I had just finished writing out a reply when my damn computer crashed on me 
Okay, hopefully I'll remember everything ...
First off, I really like this song and think it has radio potential. Very cool little groove there.
Mix stuff:
The main vocals sounded like there were a few intonation things happening. -- imhop -- They weren't too bad and could probably easily be fixed.
The background vocals that you were really worried about didn't sound that bad to me, but maybe they were mixed a little bit too hot. They kind of seemed to overpower the main when they came in especially at the end. Maybe this is just a matter of mixing, but the actual sound of them is not too bad.
Real nice guitar playing. I actually liked that "warble" sound you got at the end of the song.
The drums sounded like they could use a little bit of a boost in the mix. They sounded just a little bit buried.
I think this song has a lot of potential. There may just be a few technical things, but great start!
