Melodica Mic'ing

Thanks to everyone that helped me with advice on mic'ing hand claps. I've got another quandry for you all: mic'ing a melodica. I can't tell exactly where the sound comes out of this thing... Does anyone have any experience with this?!!

Yeah,
I had this question a while back. The sound comes from under neath the keys, so to record it we put a small D condenser over the top of it about six inches to a foot away. It the melodica being played with other instruments? Ours was with a punk band, you can hear it here (although the mix isn't great):
