My second attempt for covering a song. This time it's the full song , also with the instrumental parts.
I did this mainly because of what "Clam Soup" said on my previous cover: "I'm going to say that going accupella is pretty frigging bold. ... I'd have to hear it with backing to say yay or nay."

So here it is, hope it turned out decent, despite of the shitty mic and recording: Papa Roach - Scars ( Vocal Cover ) - YouTube

Any feedback is welcome.

You definately have a suiting voice for the genre, but it needs more work on pitch and dynamics. Especially when you do those downward arpeggios (haa-aaa-aaand etc). I enjoyed it though and since you have a voice compatible with the genre I'm sure with some practice you will become a great singer.

I compared the original to yours. He sounds like he's shouting the vocals whereas yours are monotone, nasal and lack much punch. Sure you can sing okay but it's lacks feeling like the original. Maybe you just picked the wrong song for your voice.

You're singing a full octave lower than he is, which makes comparison difficult. Try singing it in the right octave, or if that's too high, try finding a song with vocals more in your range.
