Rock on Bobbo

I do feel attacked a bit but its all good. My posts are nothing personal...its all about the music. Im just one opinion amongst many. I try to balance criticism with hope and a way toward a better future. ;)
I know youre kidding around and I dont mean any offense to you. As in pro ball there are cheerleaders, coaches, announcers, analysts, commentators, etc The same is found here. To each their own.

BTW, for the record GT said "give me hell." I didnt give him hell. I complemented his bass and guitar playing and writing (or JTs writing) and gave him points about the balance of the mix (which everyone basically agreed with and echoed). The only thing that was a bit harsh were my comments about the vocals and the crack about hiring a singer. Most of the other posts liked his vocals. So it goes.

:)

Sincere apologies, my man. I figured you had skin like an alligator. Maybe there is a small part of me that's stinging a little bit from one of your posts in my thread where you razzed me for paying too much for a "C1000." DUDE, IT'S A C-3000!!!

:D
friends?,

I have alligator skin until it comes to my work. :)
I still smell vengence from kramer for critiquing his work, which I did in all honesty. The next song I post will be anonymously as I dont think I can get a fair hearing here anymore.

LOL..why would I have the need to seek vengeance?I think you have it backwards holmes.I critiqued the song you posted and you pounced on mine afterwards like I knew you would.

You are thinking of yourself a little more highly than the people on this board think of you dude.Your opinions are of no more worth than anyone elses on this board.

Step down off that fuckin pedestal, stop making derogatory remarks about southerners, and try to act like a human being you dick head.

Hey, you guys play nice now! hehe Its ok, though. I like reading your stuff, its like a good boxing match:cool:
I appreciate you all listening and giving some good tips. I don't have a lot of say in the recording as its his recorder and all, but I can let him know next time that we could try out some different stuff to make the tunes sound a little better, especially since he just got the recorder. So I like hearing all sorts of opinions. I can even try some different things when I record with my setup too, if I ever get around to it. Recording with him is kind of good therepy for me since I've been having a tough time writing and recording on my own for some reason, so its working for us to write and record real fast at this time. Maybe if we want in the future, we can work on some of them more extensively. We are thinking of playing out live again, so I'm looking forward to that. I'd like to see if we can pull off playing deloris enormous live, it seems like it would be pretty fun to do. Thanks again everyone.

"Delores Enormous"
Good stereo separation. Bring up the lead vocals, can't quite catch every word. Cool tune.

"100 Forms Of Fear"
Great title. Loved the thingie at the beginning. Sounds analogue-ish, but sounds (please don't hit me! :D ) home-studio-ish too. I love the tune, could use vocals more up front, some separation of instruments with EQing I think...

Still, considering the abuse I just gave you, I thing this one's getting close to done.

"Cats Will Follow"
Another cool tune with some good use of effects and good playing. Vocals need to come up a bit (aren't you tired of my saying this?). Also close to don IMHO.

"A Dog Named Jim"
Must be Played loudly! I LOVE the layers of "sloppy" bends with guitar and vox and reverb? chorus?. Reminded me a bit of David Bowie. I hope you treat Jim as well as I treat my Evelyn (the actual modified dog).

I enyoyed this tune as is with listening both with phones and monitors. This one's a keeper. Even the vox was at a good level.
;)
That's all I have time for now. Nice work!

I dont even remember your comments on any song I posted bec I never saw your name outside the clinic, which is where I usually am on this board. I remember mixmkr's comments bec he posts elsewhere and I like his work. If I recall, my comments on your song were very honest and impartial and you agreed with them. Do a search buddy. I dont think people take my posts as anything other than one guys opinion. Generally an informed one.

The remark about hillbillys was said in jest so UNBUNCH your panties and stop taking things so personally.
