I don't think its any fun at all...

I'm rather interested in that manual too since there are so many parallels in the early MCI stuff with the Ampex 440/MM-1x00 series stuff...

Sweetbeats....I'll make copies for you and Ethan after I've gotten enough information to work with...

Best regards,

John

Well I'm happy to say I have a fully functioning MCI JH 110. The connectors on the one cable were bad and so I got some new female molex pins. I'm actually still waiting for the wiring harness that was on eBay but I'll have a spare regardless. That said, I still have to get the heads relapped or decide if I really want to get new ones. Ethan has kindly said he could relap them for me. Now I have to realign, etc. to get it in perfect recording/playback condition. I'm still waiting for the manual also. Thanks to everyone that responded to this post with suggestions and comments. :)

The transport is a fascinating combination of traditional mechanics and computerized logic. Enjoy that thing :)

How are things going with your machine jortiz? I might have a chance to buy a Sony MCI not sure what model yet tho. I think it's a 1/4" 1/2 track. Just curious.

Dodgeaspen,

Thanks for the interest. I'm real happy with the machine, although having an issue with one channel not recording. I love it though. I'd get another if it was available. You mentioned Sony/MCI so I'm sure it's a later model. I have an A model, the ones with the red sockets. I'm about to change all those. I'm not sure of the later models especially when Sony took over but I heard the C's are the ones to get. Good luck with your purchase.:)

Best regards,

John
